Audiomack’s ‘Keep the Beat Going’ Campaign to Showcase Emerging African Artists
In a move to continue its mission of music discovery and promotion, Audiomack has launched the 2024 edition of its “Keep the Beat Going” (KTBG) campaign. Originally launched in 2022, this campaign aims to spotlight talented African artists, helping them reach global audiences. The inaugural KTBG campaign featured well-known artists such as Burnaboy, Ayra Starr, and Rema, and included initiatives like playlists, digital ads, billboards, and creator workshops across the continent.
For KTBG 2024, Audiomack is focusing on the next generation of African superstars, introducing listeners to 12 emerging artists from various parts of the continent. The artists selected for this year’s campaign include Qing Madi, Muyeez, Majeeed, Lasmid, OliveTheBoy, Reggie, Marioo, D Voice, Platform, Nkosazana Daughter, Tyler ICU, and Yumbs. These artists will benefit from placements on Audiomack playlists and extensive editorial and social support across the streaming platform’s formats and channels.
“We are thrilled to spread the word about these talented artists hailing from all around the continent,” says Charlotte Bwana, Vice President of Marketing at Audiomack. “From D Voice’s Singeli music–a local genre in Tanzania–to Tyler ICU’s amapiano or Qing Madi’s soulful AfroRnb fusion, Keep the Beat Going 2024 has something for every music fan to love.”
Born in Benin City, Qing Madi gained acclaim with her collaboration “Olé” alongside BNXN. At just 17, her debut EP featured hits like “American Love” and “Vision,” the latter attracting international attention from Chloé Bailey.
Discovered through an Instagram freestyle, 16-year-old Muyeez quickly rose to fame with his debut single “Instagram” featuring Seyi Vibez. He has since released three chart-topping EPs, establishing himself as a major new talent in Nigeria.
Known for his work with artists like Tiwa Savage, Majeeed broke through with his hit single “Yawa No Dey End” in 2022. His sophomore EP, “Cheers to Life,” amassed over 25 million streams on Audiomack, marking him as a rising star.
Nkosazana gained recognition with her debut album featuring prominent artists like DJ Maphorisa and Master KG. Her music, a mix of personal expression and wide-reaching appeal, has made her a notable figure in South Africa.
An amapiano producer and international DJ, Yumbs has worked with major artists like Musa Keys and Major League DJz. His remixes and original productions have solidified his role as a trailblazer in the genre.
Known for the hit “Mnike,” Tyler ICU has become a household name in the amapiano scene, with his music reaching audiences far beyond South Africa.
Originally a rapper and winner of MTN Hitmaker Season 8, Lasmid found greater success with his singing, particularly through his hit “Friday Night” and subsequent releases.
A key member of the Asaaka Boys drill collective, Reggie made waves with his single “Oh Ma Linda.” His music, inspired by real-life experiences and street culture, has positioned him at the forefront of West African hip hop.
Signed to Sony Music’s Columbia Records, OliveTheBoy’s debut EP “Avana” and the single “Goodsin” became the most streamed Ghanaian song in the first half of 2023.
Platform’s career took off with the success of “Fall” and “Ananipenda.” He continues to grow his fan base with consistent hit releases.
Known for hits like “Bia Tamu” and “Mi Amor,” Marioo’s debut album “The Kid You Know” solidified his status as a leading Tanzanian artist.
A rising star in Singeli music, D Voice’s EP “Swahili Kid” topped charts in Tanzania and Kenya, making him one of East Africa’s fastest-rising artists.
Audiomack’s “Keep the Beat Going” campaign highlights the platform’s dedication to supporting African music and connecting artists with new audiences. With this initiative, Audiomack continues to play a pivotal role in the global rise of African music.
